Having seen my Nana suffer through Breast Cancer and having a recent Pancreatic Cancer scare, I wanted to help the millions of people going through this illness. I have completed the race for life in the past and this time wanted to raise more money for Cancer Reasearch UK by making it a greater perosnal challenge. We are also supporting North Clywd Animal Rescue as I have two dogs, two horses and a cat who live very pampered lifestyles. Hopefully, the money we raise will allow some of the homeless animals a better quality of life and raise awareness to show the good work that both of these charities carry out.

Liz and I have been wanting to complete a charity event for a long time, so I am thrilled that we are finally doing it. It will provide a huge personal challenge for both of us and I couldn't think of two better charities to raise money for. Cancer is also affecting a member of my family at the moment, so it is an issue close to my heart.
Animals play a huge part in my life. I have five dogs (Podgy, Sophie, Nas, Jinx and Pi), whom I complete regularly in agility and obedience, a pony (Monty) and a guinea pig (Nuttie)! I would love to think that all animals lived as happy a life as mine do, but sadly that is't reality. I'm glad we are providing the opportunity for at least some to benefit from our hard work!
Below are some pictures of my pets either competing or just relaxing and enjoying themselves!

Our Support Team:
Jess (Chief Support Member). I am a student at Glyndwr University, Studying BSc (Hons) in Applied Sport and Exercise Science and I am volunteering as the support team for the seven day 105 mile trek across the Pennines. As part of my degree I will be carrying out a role as a sports science supports for the two riders for the days that they will be riding. This is to see the physical and psychological problems that they encounter over the course of the ride.
My roles as the support team are to ensure the safety of both the horse and rider throughout the event, this involves keeping the horses well hydrated, feed and to check if they are apt to carrying on for the next day. With the riders I will be supporting them with setting up the camping area, food and drink throughout the day and night.
